At the Pumpkin Patch

We took Hunter to his first pumpkin patch!  I think it will be lots more fun next year when he's able to run around and really play on everything.  In addition, he wasn't feeling great today.   But we had a pretty good time!  We got a pumpkin (carving post to follow), played in a corn box (like a sandbox but with corn kernels), and he crawled around in the pumpkins!

What are we doing here?  And what's with all the big, orange balls?

Baby's First Homecoming Game

We took Hunter to Jon's alma mater's homecoming game last weekend.  It was Hunter's first football game.  He loved crawling around on the field and we're 100% sure he's going to be a great football player!  Just kidding.... sort of......

We Have a 10 Month Old!

Time to Baby Proof!

Hunter has been crawling all over the place and walking while holding on to people or sofas.  He's pulling up on everything in sight, too!  We think he'll be walking very soon.  Last weekend we went and bought outlet covers and Hunter has already figured out how to pull them out of the outlets.  *sigh*  My child cannot already be smarter than me....

This first video is from the very early days of Hunter crawling. And yes, we're using a sharp object to bait him.  But, hey, it worked!

And here is Hunter walking with Jon.  They can do laps around the downstairs!

Hunter's latest trick is climbing the stairs!  Don't worry - we have gates.  It's always supervised.  We haven't gotten that one on video yet, though.

Admittedly, we know he doesn't know what he's saying.  But it's still fun to hear dada and momma from our son!

9 month stats

Oh my goodness, how time flies!?  Sorry for the dry spell with the blogging.  We've been doing lots of fun things with Hunter and he's growing in some amazing ways.  Even though he's over 10 months old now, here are the stats from his 9 month check up:

Height: 29.5 in    90th percentile
Weight: 20 pounds, 5 ounces    50th percentile
Head: 46 cm    60th percentile

In other words, he's tall and skinny!  Who do you think he gets that from??  :)
