I guess the second time was the charm! On my second visit to the ultrasound office, we were able to complete baby girl's 20 week check up. All parts are present and accounted for and there is a good strong heartbeat. After barely any good pictures from the first visit, we came home with quite a few this time. The technician desperately wanted to send me home with a 4D pic of baby girl's face, but she refused to put her hands down. So, in all of the 4D pics, you'll see part of her face and then an arm or hand as well. We feel very blessed to know that she is developing well!
The last picture in today's post is of (from L to R) Katie, Sarah and me. These are two of my best friends and we are all due within a week of each other! This pic was taken last week when we were all 21 weeks along. Both Katie and Sarah are having boys!

No more crib!!
Yesterday we decided to convert Hunter's crib into a toddler bed. He's such a good sleeper and actually enjoys being in bed, so we figured we might as well give it a try. Plus, with baby girl on the way, we need to start transitioning him out of the crib altogether, because I refuse to have two in cribs! Two in diapers is fine, but not two in cribs! So, anyway, Hunter did great last night! He slept from 7:30pm to 8:00am. He woke up a little confused, but didn't just leap out of bed over the shorter rail, which was a concern of ours! As you can see from the pic I snapped this morning, he thought about going over the rail, but thankfully, he didn't!

Baby's First Trip to See Santa!
I'm not sure these pictures need much explanation. Like most kids his age, Hunter was NOT excited to meet Santa!
Classic. |
"Take me away, mom!" |
Trying to be brave...... |
"How about I just steal the old guy's chair?!" |
High five for Santa? |
While it looks like he's pushing Santa's hand away, he did actually give him a high five! Thanks Santa! |
Hunter's California First Birthday
What a blessed kid: two first birthday parties!! Hunter's second party was here at home. We has lots and lots of people inside of our little house. We had outdoor activities planned, but it decided to rain just as the party was starting. So, we all stayed cozy and dry inside. Bring on more cake!!
The Cakes! Big, big thanks to our friend Julie for making both of these cakes for Hunter! |
The food table with Hunter's new dump trucks helping us serve the food. |
The set up - notice the orange cones around the windows wishing Hunter a happy birthday! |
Lots of people at the party as Hunter starts to dig into his cake. |
Mmmmmmm chocolate....... |
Still eating.... everyone else still partying...... |
We are so blessed with such good friends and family! |

12/11/2012
This was a very important day for our family, as our little, tiny baby boy turned one. Jon and I can hardly believe that a year has passed! Hunter has brought more joy and love into our family than we ever could have imagined possible. What an amazing gift?! Here's how he enjoyed his day:
Opening his present from mom and dad:
Off to breakfast with dad:
We ended the day with cupcakes with Grammy, Grandpa, and Uncle Aaron, but didn't get any pictures. Happy birthday, Hunter J!!
